Calvin's Medical Informatics Education Portfolio
I am interested in factors that affect the competitive performance of health organizations, and the manner in which changes in technology affect an organization’s structure, long-term business strategy, product development, manufacturing, supply chains, distribution network, information needs and standard systems. In order to gain an appreciation of these and related issues, it is essential for me to have a strong grounding in Medical Informatics, and issues connected with Information Technology, as well as gain a General Management perspective.
I think one of my most distinguishing characteristics is the diversity of experiences I possess. For three years was a combat medic and practical nurse in the US Army. I also studied History and Political Science as an undergraduate at the University of Illinois. I have technical aptitude and an interest in management. I am currently enrolled in Northwestern University’s Masters of Medical Informatics program.
